Jo-Ann Brody

Jo-Ann Brody

Brody connects curriculum and art in classrooms across NYC and Westchester County teaching sculpture and clay as an artist-in-residence. She teaches first graders through adults. Residencies have focused on bugs, self portraits, the Harlem renaissance, fossils, dinosaurs, farm animals, and community workers. The challenge is to encourage the children work at their own level and artistry while teaching techniques and subject matter through demonstration and encouragement. Most residencies are 6-10 sessions. Brody teaches through Young Audiences/New York, Westchester Arts Council, Peekskill Arts Council, and Portchester Arts Council.
