Lisa’s miniature abstracted figures may seem appear to be simply inspired by different cultural styles or imagery. Part of her intent is a mix and celebration of various frames of reference on the same topic such as architecture, costume, or literature. It is the kind of inspiration that comes from imagery or objects that are foreign and exotic to her daily experience.
